Computer Music Technology

A one-year training course covering computer music creation, studio recording, engineering, mixing, mastering and production. Audio software used in the course included:
- Steinberg Cubase SX3
- Propellerhead Reason
- Steinberg Wavelab
- Digidesign ProTools
The course also dealt with many aspects of the music industry, such as:
- Label Management
- Copyright & Licenses
- Publishing
- Royalties
- Tour Management
- Artist Promotion
In conjunction with the course, I attended regular music industry seminars organised by the Music Manager's Forum and the Manchester City Music Network.

Web Design & Development

A series of courses on specific areas of design and development, each lasting between 10 and 20 weeks. Courses included:
- XHTML hand-coding & Macromedia Dreamweaver
- Design with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
- Creating content management systems with PHP and MySQL databases
- Fundamental & object-oriented JavaScript
- Macromedia Flash ActionScript
- ASP programming
- Advanced Adobe Photoshop techniques
- Macromedia Fireworks for design & interactivity
- Adobe Illustrator

Desktop Publishing & Graphic Design

- Qualification: Level 4 (equivalent to Higher National Certificate)
A four-month course covering design technique and application. Software packages Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Quark Express were used.
